Nearly one in six digital images taken at toll booths are deemed unreadable by the Florida Turnpike enterprise, allowing toll-runners to avoid fees, resulting in an annual loss of $7 million dollars a year to tax payers. 3W Studios and the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles are teaming up to give justice back to the roads and to Florida residents by redesigning Florida’s old plates to a more readable, seven character configuration without raised letters. Florida residents have been given the opportunity to choose from four new and improved designs and 3W Studios is aiding in the process by providing voters with an easy and efficient website to access the designs and express their opinions. Over the next two years, with more visible tags on Florida’s 15 million vehicles, the state will generate the ability to cut costs and free up more money to put into school systems. Not only will the new design of the tags benefit financially, but they will catch dangerous drivers running red lights with traffic light cameras and help to promote safer driving and safer roads.
