This includes putting the code through several automatic and manual checking routines. By achieving compliance through good coding we are also able to do away with the need to duplicate the site for text readers. This lowers your development and maintenance costs.

Although we are proponents of standards, we also recognize that roughly 75% of the world uses Internet Explorer, a browser that falls far short of interpreting those standards correctly. That is why we undergo extensive testing across platforms and browsers to make sure we are backwards-compliant without compromising future compliancy. And we also implement other useful techniques, such as media-specific style sheets, so there's no need for that print-friendly version any more either.
