2009 ADDYs The Silver Six
3W Studios brought home 6 ADDY awards from the Greater Tallahassee Ad Fed 2009 competition. The six silver awards were part of a 21-award sweep for the Kidd family, with Kidd Group collecting 15 of their own, including 5 gold.
Once again, the work recognized shows not only the diverse nature of 3W's clients but showcases the full range of talent on staff. Each award featured telling contributions from different combinations of team members, and this year we were especially pleased to recieve recognition outside of our usual web sphere.
Four awards were for websites launched in 2008;
In addition, 3W Studios was recognized for a quarter page print ad in 'Testing International' done for IDT, and for the logo for the Boots to Books initiative being undertaken by the Florida Board of Governors.
Judges reviewed entries in the categories of media, print, television, radio and interactive. Gold award-winners will automatically advance to district competition, overseen by the American Advertising Federation.
The ADDY Awards are the nation’s largest advertising contest, beginning at the local level and moving on to district and nationwide competition. The event’s proceeds support the AAFT’s public service and educational advertising scholarships.
2009 was the third year 3W Studios has competed in the ADDY awards, winning 13 Gold, Silver or Best of Show awards during that time, and 2 additional Regional awards in 2008.
