Taking Our Own Medicine

Notice anything different this month? Those of you with highly tuned visual sense might detect a slight graphic shift in this issue. Well done. The changes are to stay in line with our own relaunched website. Taking a leaf from many of our clients this year, we opted for the makeover-that-isn't-a-redesign. You'll recognize most of what you see on the new site, but hopefully you'll notice a few fresh details.

Here's the important part though. You have to check it out today, and then return tomorrow for a spooky seasonal twist. Yes, it's a gimmick, but it's all good clean fun.

Continental Pacific Launches Family of Sites
Continental Pacific has launched a redesign of their corporate website as part of a program to bring more visibility to many of their North and South American properties. 3W Studios has also created a master template for the creation of property-specific mini-sites, each one providing full details of the property in question. The template can be easily customized for each property to account for their individual natures.

Tallahassee Film Festival 2009 - Call For Entries
3W Studios is proud to be a sponsor of the 2009 Tallahassee Film Festival. As part of our sponsorship we have launched a redesign of the festival website. The 2009 Festival takes place in April. Currently the site focuses on the call for entries. As the season progresses the site will include preview footage, full schedule details and up the minute news about the events and the films themselves. 3W Studios will be providing ongoing support, and implementing tools to enable TFF to keep the site current.

A New Alternative
The Undrugs is a web-based company selling herbal medicine and dietary supplements. 3W Studios provided design and custom coding to implement a new online store using the OSCommerce platform. OSCommerce is an open-source shopping cart system, and 3W Studios had implemented numerous installations with varying levels of customization. The Undrugs uses PayPal integration to enable secure credit card processing once a shopper has filled their cart.

FDDC Takes Control of Their Content
The Florida Development Disabilities Council launched their redesign in March. That same design has now been engineered into a content management system (CMS), giving FDDC staff complete control over the site. Using separation of design and content, 3W Studios deployed a fully functioned system that gives FDDC web-based tools to edit and add content, while leaving the site template undisturbed. The CMS allows FDDC to reduce their dependency on technical experts and increase efficiency within the organization.
