Healthy Kids Launches New Site

2010.08.30 Healthy Kids Launches New Site

Florida Healthy Kids, one of 4 Florida KidCare partners, has launched a redesign of its website. The Florida KidCare program provides health insurance to families across the state, and the Health Kids website is the single online source for applying to the program. The site has handled over 650,000 online applications since its original launch. The new design focuses on tighter integration with the KidCare program, new visual branding and greater ease of use. Families can also log in to manage certain aspects of their account. The site is available in Spanish and Creole, and now features better integration with the corporation's social media efforts.

ADA Anniversary marked with FAAST site

2010.08.03 ADA Anniversary marked with FAAST site

3W Studios marked the 20th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act by launching a new site for FAAST - the Florida Alliance for Assistive Services and Technology. The new site is driven by a fully-featured content management system, giving FAAST staff the power to maintain the site internally. With accessibility being a major concern, the site passes Section 508 compliance testing and reads well in adaptive devices such as speech readers.

2010.07.16 State University System Launches New Look

The Florida State University System Board of Governors has launched a new look to their website. The SUS recently welcomed new chancellor Frank Brogan, and with his arrival came a new approach to the organization's image and emphasis. The new site incorporates a revised branding aesthetic to reflect this. The large and complex site has been operational since 2008. A particular goal of the redesign was to limit interruption to the site, and so the new skin has left the structure almost completely intact - important for the network of users who reference the site regularly. The most change came to the home page, where serious issues of content creep have been addressed, and a more focused approach to addressing the site's audiences has been applied.

50 Years of Future

2010.06.29 50 Years of Future

Houston Healthcare kicked off their 50th anniversary celebrations with a micro-site and photo contest, coupled with a social media outreach. The micro-site showcases images from the healthcare system's 50 years, and promotes the community photo contest. Entries will be viewable in an interactive gallery. The winner will receive a Wii™ Fit Plus, and runners up will see their photos appear in the marketing campaign as the anniversary continues. The social media outreach includes a Flickr gallery used in conjunction with the competition, and Facebook, YoutTube and Twitter activity.

Accelera Solutions has launched a new website, with help from 3W Studios. The site features content management tools by way of a Wordpress installation, allowing staff to maintain the site. Accelera provides virtualization solutions for Federal, State and local governments, as well as healthcare and education clients. The company was 2008 Citrix Partner of the Year and is a three time Citrix Federal Partner of the Year.

Preferred Governmental Insurance Trust has unveiled a new brand identity, moving the emphasis from an awkward acronym (PGIT) to the strong and simple word 'Preferred'. Kidd Group and 3W Studios collaborated to define the new brand, from the change in emphasis to new colors, and through to new marketing materials and web presence. After more than 10 years in the industry, they are still Preferred.

Hidden Mountain Resorts in Tennessee's Smoky Mountains offers cabin vacations all year round. The resort was suffering from a drop in online bookings after a website redesign which introduced new functionality but failed to get the interface design right. 3W Studios came in with a quick skin revision that kept the site intact, retained all the functionality that had been added, but left visitors feeling more comfortable about the resort and more able to find what they wanted on the website. Now that the features and facilities of the resort are no longer hidden, online bookings are climbing back up as a result.

2010.05.01 Calvary OPC Targets Broader Reach

Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church, in Tallahassee, has launched a new website, but you might not know it. At first glance, the design will look very familiar, but under the hood it's a different story. The site is broader in 3 key ways. First, it is literally wider. The original design dated back to 2005, when screen resolutions were different and the safe maximum width was narrower. Secondly, the amount of content covered by content management has expanded to cover the entire site instead of key content areas. Lastly, the church is now set to deploy some broadband outreach by adding video to the already extensive audio library of sermons and services.

2010.04.21 Beaches Energy Services Goes Live

BES provides electric utility service to Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach, Ponte Vedra, and Palm Valley. Kidd Group branded BES, a department of the City of Jacksonville Beach, in 2002. The organization's website had been part of the larger city online presence, but has now come out from its shadow. As well as providing brand continuity, the site retains all the key tools for customers, and introduces BES' social media network.

The "Gather. Go. Get." public awareness campaign created by Kidd Group and 3W Studios has helped Florida's Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles issue 913,736 new license and ID cards since January 1. New document requirements that went into effect on that date had the potential to cause confusion and delay at issuing offices. With a comprehensive state-wide campaign, including a web-based customized checklist, the issue has been mitigated. With almost a visit for each customer served, the campaign website has been the workhorse of the program.

IDT has launched another iteration of its web presence at the NAB show in Las Vegas. The Florida Distance Learning Consortium reached out to 3W Studios to help put the finishes touches on the OnCoRe Blueprint. The Online Content Repository (OnCoRe) Blueprint Project is an initiative to create a sustainable national model for the creation of statewide digital content repositories. The grant-funded research project had culminated in a web-based report that needed a little visual lift. The new site helps present the finished product in an accessible and logical fashion.

The technology has already helped match criminals in the field, from a simple shoplifting case finding outstanding warrants, to a cross-county robbery case, to multiple-ID felony arrest. the FALCON system was named and branded by Kidd Group and 3W Studios served on the project management team providing design for the user interface screens.
