ADDY Success Again
It was another successful night at the ADDYs for 3W Studios and Kidd Group. Between us, we won 21 Gold & Silver awards this year. That's more than any other firm in Tallahassee. What seems even more impressive to me was the range of clients and designers involved in the winning work. 3W Studios was recognized for 6 Silver awards, winning for 4 websites, 1 logo and 1 print ad. Baycrest staff have a series of web-based tools to provide them the control they need to edit content, update projects, and list employment opportunities. User-friendliness was the key, and the custom-developed tools fit seamlessly into the site. Visitors can explore the company's portfolio and visit web cams to see ongoing projects.

Album of the Month Competition
No, this isn't a new feature of the newsletter; it's a comment on the greatest Facebook fun around at the moment. At least, if you are a graphic designer. It provides a lovely illustration of how all that freely available information floating around the web can be harnessed to create something new and beautiful. Mix in the viral nature of Facebook and you have an explosion of new art. With the element of chance thrown in, it's a fun few minutes that you can't help but enjoy.
