Information has always been the currency of the web. Who has it, who can delivery it, who owns it... but ownership has always been a sticking point. This week Facebook has tried to calm fears created by the editing of their usage policy.
Mark Zuckerberg went to some lengths to reassure users that their content is theirs. That is, unless it
belongs to Hasbro. In Sweden, some self-proclaimed
electronic pirates are on trial in a real court. The Pirate Bay founders face fines of $143,500 and two years in prison if found guilty of illegal file sharing. Their defense? They don't host any of the files, they just tell you where to get them. Ingenious? We'll see.

Capturing the Speed of Life
| IDT invites filmmakers and researchers alike to submit entries to the 2009 Speed of Life competition. Video files must be no more than 60 seconds in length, and at least 50 percent of footage must be filmed using high-speed, digital technology (250 FPS). |
